About Ryan
Ryan Tachell left us all too soon on April 17, 2015 at the young age of 18. Born to Trish and Dan Tachell on July 15, 1996, he was known in the community as a son, brother, friend and Angel of Happiness. He inspired many, and much was learned from his unselfishness and his drive to help others.
Ryan will be remembered by family and friends as the most generous of souls. Ryan was a regular blood donor and was able to give to others even after his last breath. His spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
His goals were to graduate and become a United States Marine. It was Ryan’s wish to protect others and become a soldier. He will be awarded the highest honor of becoming a soldier of the sky.
Ryan was extremely athletic and active in several sports at Riverside High School, including cross country, tennis, football, cheerleading and more.
Ryan has touched lives across the world as a People to People ambassador and worked part time at the Riverside Service Station always sporting his infectious smile. His ability to turn someone’s day around was uncanny.
Honoring Ryan
Though Ryan left us all far too soon, we remember him in fondness and keep warm thoughts of him alive by walking a mile in his memory. Funds raised at this event are managed and administered by a sub-committee of RNB comprised of those closest to Ryan and pillars of our community. Won't you join us in celebrating Ryan's life and all that he stood for as a Ram?
Funds raised during this event are available to offset ASB costs. Any funds remaining at the end of the year are divided in two and awarded as a two scholarships, one for each a male and female student athlete that most embody the spirit of Ryan Tachell.
